Hey guys, Does anyone know what would cause the lights to dim and flicker when turning the camera whilst playing in the editor, im on the latest UDK and it was working fine until this suddenly started happening, any ideas?
Anyone know what the tech is for lighting splinter cell conviction? I saw the live demo at pax and it looked really good. I heard somewhere it was all dynamically lit so hence my surprise that it looked that good.
Does anyone know how to avoid seams in your textures when using "convert to file texture" to bake lighting in Maya? If it would overdraw by a pixel or two that would save a tedious hour's work in PS fixing it. I'm still using Maya 4, BTW, but if there's a way to do it in later versions I'm still interested as we're…

My question is I want adequate light map resolution on this model. But it's quite large and I don't want to have to jack up…
Thru the years, I purchased a couple programs on Steam. good point(s) where Steam does an excellent job for Software users on that platform:* I like that Steam makes moving to another PC and opening up your software generally easy. some pain points: * setting up Steam to prevent unwanted popups or other distractions from…
I agree with nfrrtycmplx that your composition could use more work. Right now, my eye is kind of torn between two conflicting points of interest that fight for my attention : Either the chair (because of the perspective), or the desk (because of the lighting). You should decide what area you want to be your focal point and…
Hey there, I put my asset into UE4 and the lighting looks really weird, there are black stripes going across it. It looks fine in UDK so I can only imagine it's something I'm not seeing in UE4. Can someone help? :O
I've put together a simple shader for a dynamic sky but there seems to be a problem with my sun. I take the dot product of the camere and light vector multiply by -1 and use that as input in a spheremask. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
