Hi everyone! I recently started a project to help me practice my Substance Painter to UE4 workflow. It's an Ultramarine Venerable Dreadnought from the Warhammer 40k universe. I'd just like to share my progress and see if anyone has any feedback for me at this stage. Here's my High Poly: The Low Poly: Here's my current…
The gun store - for $100 you can pick three guns and shoot a full clip from each. They have classes too. https://thegunstorelasvegas.com/ Tons of great restaurants. Aureole is the best I've had there (I don't usually eat in high-end restaurants) - tasting menu plus wine plus tip for two people is about $400. Have lots of…
No prob :) He actually has several brushes I'm sure he's found from other random brush sets. When I was going through his brush set he actually had about 5-6 brushes I've used for a loooong time. The chain, the circle thing, a 400 large grunge brush, and a few others. The nicest thing from the set for me was his palette…
This. I am trying to break into the industry why would I pirate it? Dumb post buddy. But I didnt know I could get a yearly Eat3D subscription, I will look into that. Thank you. Another one I was thinking of was Digital Tutors. It is $400 but they tend to cover everything and have a wide selection, I dont know. Eat3D seems…
It's the extra drawcall/texture. Although two drawcalls rather than one isn't too bad as you'll usually have hundreds of drawcalls per scene. The problem comes when you repeat the same object over and over again (in this case if you were making a whole container yard). This can cause a two drawcall container to turn 200…
Wow this is awesome. Texture work is great and the design is awesome. It reminds me of Warhammer 40k Ork vehicles which is a good thing. Like Dan said above the lights on the wing stand out polygon wise and I think their material could do with some work. The material definition is a bit off and I'm not immediately sure…
Yeah as a thief you can get quite a lot of money, also smithing helps. I stopped taking almost everything out of the dungeons around 40k as traveling from one merchant to another became pretty boring after a while. I sold most stuff in whiterun as you have 4 merchants very close to eachother, the rest has been sold to the…
Funny how things are changing. Ive heared from people working in the industry that 40k Triangles for a AAA FPS Shooter is not a big problem. I think that it more depends on the texture size. So a 4K Texture will lower the Frames much more then +20k Triangles Geometry. There are often Attachements on weapons which have his…
I dont have mine yet, but make sure your projector directly supports the resalution the box outputs. Actually, it sounds like it is using the incorrect hz settings. Try looking on how to set the hz to either 50 or 60. The rolling is the same thing that happens when you try to output PAL on an NTSC screen. Is this the one…
Thanks for your comments J. I think I've taken most of them into consideration Maybe I posted too early to get a larger reaction out of everyone else, oh well. As promised, I'm going to keep my progress posted here. This time I'll also be posting my flats for your viewing pleasure. Stats -406 tris -1 512 Diffuse Flats:…
