... I want one: http://blog.wired.com/cars/2009/04/gm-and-segway-b.html I know it doesn't fit the needs for most situations, but this could be damn cool if I don't have to use the roads :D Of course, it probably will end up being $13k, which would out weight the want ;)
Hello guys, this is my first post. I'm in the 3d industry since 2009. Hope this is the right place to ask. I'm doing a render with vray and Max 2012. The texture on my object appear blurry as long as I change the camera angle. Look at this I can't figure how to fix this.

I also had lots of problems with 2014 with crashes and UI, which is sad because I loved the app...Downgraded to good ol' 2009. Would love to hear what pros have to say of 2014's stability and functionality...
Yeah... that is super annoying, back in 2009 MoP played around with it and got a script working, I'm not sure if they have fixed it in 2014 or if the script still works but it was an interesting thread. I would really like to know if there is a better way to handle it.
And the granddaddy of painting tutorials: PSG Art Tutorial I don't really see it as that limiting either, I thought I was screwed when I got laid off in 2009 but the demand for "old school" art refuses to go away
dude, you joined in 2009, by now you should be killing it -- instead you don't even know how to properly bake a normal map. and that takes 2 weeks to learn at most. currently you have no flexibility, stick to something.
this might help http://blog.duber.cz/3ds-max/system-units-setup-in-3ds-max you display unit setup looks like it set to "000" as aposed to "0" if that makes any sense. if it was set to "0" it would be 5 not 555.
I wonder, if in some parallel universe his game was any good and for some inexplicable reason was founded, would he potentially have to put over 20 000 names in game textures? It would be something like "Phonebook: The Game"?
Hey this is pretty cool! Yes, Maxscript should be up to the task, though the code won't really be very portable. There's no native Python support in Max... but there are ways to get it to work... http://www.rtrowbridge.com/blog/2009/02/python-in-3ds-max/
