Hello guys, this is my first post.
I'm in the 3d industry since 2009.

Hope this is the right place to ask.
I'm doing a render with vray and Max 2012. The texture on my object appear blurry as long as I change the camera angle.

Look at this

I can't figure how to fix this.

Try turning off Texture Filtering in the Bitmap properties of your textures.

I'm not a VRay user so I don't know, but there might be a texture filtering setting in VRay too, to globally control that.

Aye, not a vray user either but it sounds exactly like anisotropic filtering. You get the same with mips in many engines unless you change the anisotropic settings in the shader.

Thanks guys. I found the solution. There was a parameter I never heard of. It's BLUR. It is under diffuse-->map. By default it is set to 1. Just drop it to 0,1. It's common parameter, anyway, not related to just vray. I think that overall it works against anisotropy, but I can't understand why it is set that way.
