lol, you know... they ARE capable of developing two things at once :P And these days, they can't afford to rush anything to market. If the Volt is going to be extremely high profile when it's released, and if it has ANY issues, people are going to wave those flaws all over the internet Trust me, the Volt is on it's way (my company makes the brakes for it).

Actually, I just imagined it as being more of a vehicle to get to work in that didn't seem as much of a waste as a 4 seater car. I wouldn't even need the second seat, but that's fine if it's there. My only issue is I wish it was faster (and still had that range... if not more).

Well, they are talking about pricing at something like 1/4th what a normal car would cost. For $5000 or less, I'm sure some people would consider it, myself included.

Well you can't use this GM/segway vehicle then. It's only got a range of 35 miles. You'd only get half way home. You could charge it at work I guess but it's still a very short range vehicle that goes pretty slow.

Here's a zero emissions vehicle that's a much better option than the segway thing.

And yeah, I figured I would charge at work... but realistically, I wouldn't use it for my current job. It would have been great for some of my previous jobs though.

Rain shouldn't be much of an issue. It's no different than having a motorcycle otherwise. I had a Jeep Wrangler that I rarely had the hardtop on for during Spring through Fall. I used a bikini top to keep the rain off my head, but no doors on the side. I never got wet.
