Hello, I'm Co-Owner of an indie studio and we're set to launch our alpha test in 3 weeks. Our current animator isn't cutting it and we're in need of an experienced first person weapons animator. We are working with UE4 and already have both weapon and arm rigs. All we need from you are nice lookin animations on a tight…
Hello i know it is possible to get quite pretty human head scan (using camera, photogrammetry) with only one DSLR camera, when the subject is still, and the lighting is good and you move quickly (not using a tripod) you can shoot around 20-40 photos and the scans i have seen look quite really good. The problem is: How many…

Tomorrow i will post an image of the wireframe. to make simpler, one was to model a hand closed fist (the right hand) and an open hand palm to the top (left hand). In Quake 3, the left hand of the character always remains (except with the gauntlet) below the weapon, of or modeling palm opened upwards. And the right hand,…
Hello! I knew about the Technical Artist role prior to my career shift, but after getting into the job as a 3D Artist, I started really enjoying it, and kinda forgot along the way to look into it in more detail. I've heard that Technical Artist roles are required to have a lot of technical skills across DCC Tools? With me…
I think "common" are all types but they have all limitations. Theoretical 3d scan or photograpy is the "easy" way, but you need a real life template and so it can be very hard to find or not exist. With hand painted texture you have the freedom but it can be very hard to make good looking textures. Often it is a mix like…
Hi everyone, I am currently building a modular kit for my game and ran into a problem with gradient texturing that I do not fully understand yet. My kit consists of many reusable pieces like walls, windows and especially floor tiles. The floor is made out of repeating units, for example 1x1m, 2x2m or 4x4m tiles that are…
I wanted to base it's movement similar to a pendulum, so it would move through trees by throwing it's weight and gripping the branches using it's forearms/tail. (Which is also the tails purpose, a counter weight, hand and blunt force object). The hind legs are more for delicate tool handling than anything else.
An interlude to the interlude: I got Unreal Engine up and running in the new computer and found... not the latest version of the character project, but almost it. The initial imports are mostly to try and sync the colors I get in Blender with how they look in Unreal. UE is way too aggressive with the contrast and what's a…
hey man usually with long hanging cloth like that you get a lot of deep long vertical creases but yeah you'll have a hard time finding loin cloth/tabard style reference images on google, you'd be better off googling for drapery or hanging cloth, or grab a camera and appropriate sized garment and take some photos :poly142:…
