So after finding out what it was called in the first place, I am now faced with the task to get it into UE4. Because it will be a game asset it obviously can't be a million polygons. I feel like this is easy I'm just not aware of how to do it easily.... I want the pattern to be triangles that don't overlap, have depth, have random scales and is tile-able. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
If you would bake it anyways, it doesn't matter how it is in the blueprint, that is basically a mesh generator. Becase after creating the meshes, you would remove the bp from the level.

Thanks for the reply.. but this is exactly what everyone keeps doing. . Linking me to the crydev docs. I can't follow them, as I have no idea what I'm doing. The docs weren't created for beginners. I don't know how to vertex paint, or set up my layers properly etc.
