I think its because it looks a little raggedy, or it was broken but then mended. It looks like the ends of the bow was being extended with some wood to make it bigger, and cloth was used instead of glue to tape. Maybe you should just make it cloth until it reaches the tip.
Heya again! Now time for some clothes! I knew right away I wanted him wearing harem pants with sandals, but I have no idea what shirt to give him. Kinda always envisioned him with no shirt, but for D&D and design purposes, I'd like to give him a shirt. The current state of the pants are nowhere near final. They are only…
INCOMING CRAPPY PAINT OVER 2.... I didn't add "reinforcing the forms" into the original paint over, it was mostly a color correction and proportional paint over. Right now you're peas aren't allowed to touch the carrots and nobody should even think about going near the mashed potatoes. Working on each of the color groups…
I am making this character for some practice and I would very much appreciate any feedback on the body as well as the clothing, its still a work in progress but it would be nice to get some advice. I made the majority of the clothing in marvelous designer and then edited it in Zbrush, I would love to hear thoughts on it.
I have tried to map the ambient occlusion of a legging in xnormal and maya, but in both programs the details of the clothes do not appear and it gets very bad, always smooth and very white, someone knows what to do for the details to appear strong in the image of the ambient occlusion? xNORMAL: Maya 2018 as the clothing is:
Hi everyone! I left this one for a while but now I finished the main body sculpt. Later I will work on the face. By the end of this week, I will try to make the clothes block out. I am still thinking about using Marvalouse designer or just sculpting the clothes in Zbrush. We will see what will be my approach to it. Final…
Just a little tent I made to practice some colour work. I don't really like the lighting very much but the I do like the cloth. I think next time I wanna have the cloth drape on the ground.
Lowpoly is done, UVs are done, bakes are done. She's around 80k tris now, using 4 main textures (face, body, upper clothing, lower clothing) + an extra 2 materials for hair and lace. Will be moving onto texturing soon.
Another progress, I am working on cloth and retopo right now. The kimono is still rough WIP, I am planning to finish retopo the body, finalize and put it in a rough pose before finalizing the cloth mesh. Hair will be blocked in soon.
Please use anatomical references. Sculpt out the body first, make sure it's sculpted correctly (or damn well close to correct). Then when you're finished with the body, then you can add clothing as a subtool. The folds of the clothing will rely on the form that's underneath.
