I've been using it almost exclusively since 2017 hit. There's very little settings to worry about. The quality setting is "Signal to Noise Ratio", so if you set it to 20.0 db, you are basically asking to get "20 part clear, 1 part noise". Choose Fast Path Tracing instead of Advanced.
