Hi folks, long time on forum, but most probably have no posts)) Anyway why not to share something I working currently, this scene is sort of remake of my old test scene on udk, which I made about 4 or 5 years ago in one week or so. Back then it was small simple scenery which I made to test Dominant light, this time it…

Hello again and thank you for checking out this forum. For this one, I'll be looking for 3D Artists and animators for another project that I've been involved with as we seriously need more people for it. This is Radiant Force. It is a superhero audio drama series about four women who, upon discovering four ancient gems,…
On a thing like this car hood detail I would rather make all normals same , borrowed /transferred using normal theft/ data transfer or whatever from a surface before all those extra ridges added and keep their shading in the normal map only . Would work perfect for LODs too.

Yeah - fairly common for class A objects because once smoothed curvature waviness and/or pinched areas may become apparent mainly due to secondary detailing i.e. radiator, light cluster well's, door handle inserts, panel crease/shadow cuts....etc regardless of whether your source mesh is modeled either high, low or medium…
Ah ok, I didn't see the images before. I think currently the sketches are hard to read. You could fill in shapes in an image editing program to increase readability. Regarding shots, you could do a more loose, zoomed out shot that describes mood and large structures, maybe a cross section of the layers. A single…
If you use non-uniform scale outside of sub-object mode, it's going to distort the local transform space of the whole model. If you need to scale stuff, best to do it on the sub-object level: Vertex, Edge, Polygon, Element, etc.
tony complete! trawling through my WIP folder for a few quick notes this was the first thing i showed LaNm. just a bunch of heads, exploring weird shapes. i actually only had the spot colors to differentiate them more at this point, i was planning on just goin back to green. woops! anyway he went for 2 and 5 i think? liked…
RN! Nice! The compositing of eyelashes and eyebrows I didn't even think of that. I've decided to stick with MAX for now, I can afford the subscription, there's just too many resources like that video to learn with. They're using After Effects, and a few scenes are hand drawn (the beginning of the transformation) and the…
