Hi everyone! I’m Jean-Luc Hernandez, a freelance 3D artist focusing on stylized asset creation for video games. Just finished the highpoly model after sitting on this model/scan for over a year. Figured it would be a great way to start experimenting with UE5 and Nanite, and seeing if I can texture a high poly model and have that bake down to the lowpoly, kinda do 2 work flows at once and compare. Highpoly is mostly done, need to…
Hello Polycount! I'm currently working on a UE5 environment set in Old Quebec, with a Cyberpunk twist. There are still many things in the blockout and wip phase, but I think I'm far enough to get a first round of feedback. Here's where I'm at so far: And some of my references for more context: The final piece will take…
I'm starting a new mini environment piece in UE5. I'm trying to push my cinematic lighting skills and get better with trim sheets. I'm pretty much finished with the blockout phase and have added some lighting to try and capture the overall mood. What do you think about the lighting/composition so far?

UE5 priorities are optimizing for SSDs, helping make larger/more dynamic worlds, general engine performance/speed ups, more online game improvements (more/bigger BRs?), still multi-platform/scalability focus. UE5 will be for…
A very quick mood study that I did in UE5 using mainly Lost City pack and Megascans assets. I also messed around with Fluid Ninja a bit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJ0zi4i0NMY&lc=UgyoPlmwvclV-GZWZex4AaABAg
Hello all I’m experiencing an issue where my UE5 cloth jitters after falling into the idle position. The jitter seems to increase when I click the screen or hover over the cloth. What is going on? This example is just using the default cloth settings, but I have also been experiencing the same issue across other models…
Since new Chaos Vray Vantage supports full vrmesh proxymesh features and UE5 releasing nanite technology, i cannot find comparisions between them. Any ideas?
