@Caticus : sorry for being that guy but I have the feeling you might have a few things mixed up too :) Quote : "The usual workflow artists go through is creating the highpoly and lowpoly model > baking all of the maps on the highpoly > then transfering those highpoly maps onto the lowpoly model." I've got a model with multiple texture sets and I would like to paint on one but still have the others visible. Every time I start to paint the other sets get hidden, but this makes it difficult to paint "around" the other pieces that are in different sets. Is there any way to disable this? I tried looking and searching…
Any suggestions or tutorials to paint chrome areas on something that's not going to be specifically modeled or shaded for chrome? IE. 2D representation of chrome. And no, I don't mean Photoshop's gradient chrome. I'm talking about how to paint the light shadow to mimic the chrome feel without relying on using photos as…
Hey all! I'm somewhat new to creating textures to my models that I make. I have seen videos on people creating their textures in Photoshop by painting them. I've tried, but mine dont come out as great as I want them to be. Anyone have any tips or tricks on texture Painting?

Hey guys, here are two hand painted textures that I've made. It took four to five hours to paint one of them, they are tiling. I hope you like it. Critiques are welcome :D

I want someone to take a look at it and help me revise/edit the model to get it right. This is my first attempt at modelling and I used…

If not there is also projection painting, which both Photoshop and Zbrush can do. With projection painting you basically set up whatever…
Great job on the stone tablet, I love the worn edges, and the slightly saturated blue greys you have used really make it pop, although its looking a bit putty-ish, perhaps make the highlights a bit sharper/brighter in certain areas? Really try and sell the fact that it has been carved into by someone and it still has sharp…
