yeah, the Dodge Circuit EV is basically a fully electric conversion of a Lotus Europa that they got to put out faster times than the gas variant. Pretty cool, but I doubt it will be entering my price range any time soon...I dont really get the idea of leaving the "auditory mindset," I'm a very audio-visual focused person,…

Thank you for your interest. I have to draw textures in photoshop for my job. It is just very difficult. Especially I don't know where to make it darker and lighter and why the highlights are the way they are. I can understand if it is a circle or a cube. All the explanations I've seen are for circles and squares. I know…
may I suggest that you're using a more glossy material like in your reference? i already can spot quite a few bumpy areas and thats with a very matte material. its hard surface, let the bumps jumpscare you so you can clean em up :)
An interlude to the interlude: I got Unreal Engine up and running in the new computer and found... not the latest version of the character project, but almost it. The initial imports are mostly to try and sync the colors I get in Blender with how they look in Unreal. UE is way too aggressive with the contrast and what's a…
My issue with making blockout is that I feel never get the proper proportion to match the concept. I've worked on this and made some improvement, but I still think there's something off. I don't think it's as good as the concept. I used wood and rock floor as start, but when I added a pillar and other stuff, it appeared…
@carvuliero @NikhilR I enjoyed my last job, as the team had multiple prop artists that were tackling the asset creation, while I could focus on simply building the open world map using assets made by them together with the Quixel's Megascans library. I was also tasked with developing custom procedural tools for environment…
Well, the eyeball is way too small for an opening that size. It's about the size that the iris would be. So that's a bit of a problem. The radius of the sphere needs to be the same or bigger than the distance from the corner to corner of the eye. I doubt you can fit two eyes in a skull that size and shape. I guess you…
@MRALO Welcome to Polycount. Consider checking out the forum information and introduction thread. The object has a lot of repetitive surface features so try breaking it down into mirrorable or tileable segments. Working on a small portion of the mesh and copying it to create the rest of the shapes tends to be more…
My main advice would be to A) Work on a far lower sub division layer until such a time that you find you cant add anymore detail, then, only then up the sub div layer and so on and so forth. Working in a very high SD layer right off the bat will almost always lead to that squishy look. B) study facial anatomy, particularly…
