Hi,everyone
,How can I baking a heightMap like the image I uploaded .I known max can do it .But, I am a MAYA user.I mean how can I get it using other software except max
how about XNormal,MAYA and so on .
If you known ,Please tell me.
thanks
James!
that thing was made in zbrush, while sculpted in zbrush you can grab the depth channel. Use MRGBgrabber when your mesh is dropped on the viewport and there you have it in the alpha.
If you want to still do it in Maya the "transfer maps" has a "displace" bake. I would rather do in zbrush, way faster.
In Xnormal it's simply a matter of putting the high poly model into the high poly slot, low poly model into the low poly slot, clicking "height map" for baking options and hit the bake textures button.(futzing of the cage and/or offset values might obviously be needed)

simply apply gradientmap on mesh and render
