I know anatomically we probably shouldn't see her back leg, but not seeing it is causing this strange ... uh ... tangent i guess is the word I'm looking for? I'm really excited to see some more of this piece! and I keep imagining all the different dynamics the hair could take! an awesome basline. :D more, more, more! :D
Looks amazing, arguably abit too clean IMO could add an area of scorched earth or something where there was once a camp fire... or even some cool unqiue props like a message in a bottle or some fallen coconuts or something :D Just thinking of a story/background for this scene. Maybe a crab? A Starfish? Coral in the water?…
From my understanding some of the departments moved to this workflow awhile ago. I believe Josh Singh spoke about it at a zbrush event. I think the video is still on ZBC. For anyone who hasn't tried it I highly recommend it. It's super fast and fun. :D The new character models look amazing in Dreanror! I can't wait :D
This is probably horribly unimportant in comparison to everything else going on with apartments and all that but: Fire didn't kill your hardrive did it? and if it did, you did have backup right? That's probably what I would have worried the most about if this ever happened to me D: Anyway, speedy recovery and good luck…

Hi all, hope we're having a great start to the year :D Something I'm doing for university and to step outside of my comfort zone and use more Zbrush :3 Here is the sculpt and poly paint so far... and here is my latest image of it rendered in realtime. Still loads to do and things to fix including the creation of a diorama…
I've been re-watching all the original Scooby Doo episodes back from the 70s and decided to make a Scooby Doo inspired house. :D So far I just have an supremely basic layout with a some textures so I can get an idea of spacing. The block in the middle is the general size for the couch I'm putting in. Here's the WIP.…
Hey all, This is a project I have been working on and off for a few months. This is before I have dove into post processing and colour grading but I wanted to ask for any feedback you guys would have. I am a 3D artist with a few years experience working in games under my belt but I am always trying to improve my scenes.…
I didn't use sub-D for hard surface modelling for a decade already . Because for hard surface things it's either sbs with bevel node on uv islands or rounding shaders to bake into normal map. Arnold , Octane , Cycles all have them . No hi res models necessary at all. Or sometimes its CAD modelling but often doesn't require…
Hey Jason, i'm curious, do you sub-d out your entire scene sub-d like this when your working without a concept, or is this your prefered method of working no matter what. Do you ever use tools like crazybump or nDO, and if so what factors do you consider before employing them.
