I am working on my senior project that is a year away, but I thought I'd get some feedback early so I can make the necessary changes. The game takes place in the Scottish Highlands. It is very early still for a lot of the graphics, but know it will have more ruined castles and interesting landscape details and villages.…
Hi communty. I can't find any useful resources or tutorials about "Editor Apply Spline" blueprint node. I want to deform my landscape using spline blueprint. I saw someone in marketplace achieved that result through the blueprint. Anyone knows how to use that node? Thanks in advance
Yeah, that. Eg. If I wanted to sample height at specific locations from a landscape and use that information for something. I don't appear to be able to query the scene for anything useful directly from an editor blueprint but I refuse to accept that there's not some way of doing it Any ideas?
Hi guys, I'm working on this environment based on the concept by Alex Legg and I'd like to know your opinion on what I can improve. The trees and bushes were made using Speedtree, the landscape materials and some of the foliage come from Quixel megascans and the rest was created from scratch. I'd appreciate any feedback.
The finished art test for the Arena Net internship position that disappeared a week after I started. I spent the past week or so making the landscape, foliage and a few other buildings to help flesh out the area around the house. If the windmill looks familiar that's because it's based on the one in this concept from The…
Hello there! I'm in a project where I need to make a fly-through over a very large area of terrain in UE4. In this case it's about 12km x 5km and is important to have the scale correct... Is there any good practices for this kind of task where there is a very large landscape area? Thank you very much for your attention!
This is a small cave environment i'm working on using it to try out some different things i'm interested in trying out out some landscape creation techniques and learn a bit more about working with water in UE4. If anyone has any feedback or can direct me too some awesome tutorials for this kind of stuff id appreciate it :)
Tbh I've been slacking a bit on art work for this...its been hard to maintain a steady flow of work with Landscaping as a job lol. So far these are the concept characters I've made and I want to see what you guys think of them! I'll slowly be updating with more info as things get a bit faster
I'm not sure about his wife... It's not like she's trying to sell the artwork or claim it as her own original art. Haven't you ever had any art exercises in school where the teacher would tell you to draw something exactly the way it looks, be it a furniture, picture or some landscape?
Alighty. Here's another update: Some one suggested I add more small emissives to give a little more mysticism to the scene. I'm not sure how I'm going to give the appearance of the grass hanging over dirt into the water because my landscape isn't dense enough to paint that detail in there.
