you can scale the UVs going into a maya texture node and indeed that data will not be passed through when the model is exported. in principle, if you apply the same transform to UVs plugged into a texture sampler in unreal it should give you the same result - if there's a difference it could be a few things - the texture…
It definitely won't let you compare 1-to-1 exactly. You can try creating a camera to view an angle closer to the original camera. But I think you'll just have to eyeball it. Real-world cameras have barrel distortion and other artifacts that most 3d cameras don't have (unless you put a ton of effort into it).
You'll want to add some parallax to whatever texture you use inside the portal. You can learn about how to do this by searching the web using a search like game vfx portal tutorial cubemap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmaNiz0o11A

Thank you! Photogrammetry can be quite approachable once you’ve practiced it enough—you can skip a lot of traditional modeling and get very realistic assets. That said, processing the scanned meshes is often the hardest part: cleaning topology, fixing artifacts, and optimizing them for real-time use. Textures also need a…
>If nothing else, start making your own titles? even if some Fairy Cousin would pay all the bills while I'm making my title, the fruit is not worth it. They wouldn't behave that way if that was viable. Mic's next step is to buy Steam so that they could just clear the shelf of the competition. Sure, you can sell your stuff…
