Okay then i guess i will go with the offline renderer because with a huge landscape i don't think remodeling and unwraping uvs is the best option, so what should i do to fix the stretching in an offline renderer ?
It looks cool man! I feel like the blue atmosphere is really too much and too strong. Otherwise I feel it's still a little empty and flat. Why not add some height to the landscape? keep it up
Hi, I switched from terrainmode with decolayers to landscape- and foliagemode. So now can have far more trees and a bigger surrounding. Also added some environment-backdrops and refined transition between grass and cobbles.
I ripped up carpet, sanded, painted, landscaped, installed fittings, moved furniture, and generally worked myself stupid. I'm doing up our house to sell, on top of my fulltime work. I'm tired
I worked on 'utron' a few years back in the form an of an unreal tournament mod. I am not sure if it ever got released. Its my ambition to have a picnic in the tron landscape new footage looks cool
I was referring to realistic modelling. As for the background not matching I think it's because the gun and wall got some solid wear and tear going on, then there is the although blurry, still what looks like a a clean city landscape that doesn't add up.
Worked further on the trees and the landscape today - Didn't help that Unreal was crashing every time I built, causing undue panic and stress. Turns out there was something untowards with the grass foliage, and a simple delete and replace fixed that right up.
I think this scene is probably a bit too big for marmoset. You'd get better results in UE4. You can create some really nice landscapes with world machine. And you can make some more complex materials.
I finally chose Vi. So i guess i'll post stuff as it happens and fingers crossed I'll have enough free time to finish this :D . I hope the size ratio is ok, i'd rather it be portrait, and the composition works on landscape too.
Does anyone know if there is a way to paint colors directly onto terrain or landscape in udk? I have used terrain engines at some companies and it was capable of painting down colors for shadows and ao etc. I have looked and couldn't find anything regarding this. Thanks for the help.
