Vertex coloring on terrain?

Does anyone know if there is a way to paint colors directly onto terrain or landscape in udk? I have used terrain engines at some companies and it was capable of painting down colors for shadows and ao etc. I have looked and couldn't find anything regarding this. Thanks for the help.

no, unfortunately there is not any easy way to do this in unreal.
