Hey! I wanted to share my latest project... The Cacodemon from the "DOOM" (video game) series! I was inspired to create this guy after seeing the awesome DOOM Eternal Gameplay that was released a few weeks ago. The colours were inspired by the early concept designs of the Cacodemon found in the DOOM (2016) art book. The…
Was just wondering what everyone uses or if anyone knows a quick way in photoshop to do this. There's always shadows and Agisoft offers an option to do it with the professional version which is over $1k. I'm willing to pay, but that's a little outside of my range just for that feature. I have access to…
I created this Recycling Machine for the game Gruttel Scuttle, as part of my work in 'Team Trojan Mouse' Full renders and a turntable video available on my Artstation post here https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Ar4Loz I have attached my favourite shots below. I hope you like it!
As far as I know, it depends on the size of the model. If it’s a large mid-poly object, it’s often textured using tiling textures and masks instead of unique texture maps in order to achieve higher texel density. Another reason is VR projects, where it’s generally better to rely on actual geometry. I’ve also noticed that…
Arcan'dor was a fun project I worked on for World of Warcraft legion. I concept, model, texture and animated all stages of Arcan'dor, the tree of redemption. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/qXYzn
I like 3 and 12 the best, or 10 if you really want that external switch. Most of those silhouettes are too complex for their own good and certainly more complex than your reference. I'd stick to simpler, clear forms both for readability and because this would supposedly be a fairly small asset.
Hi only a black screen comes when I click on it ... anyway what this means that I could check and render an object I do for UDK in 3dsmax without the need to import there? that woudl be good to me since I cant seem to get start UDK without crashing and I need to make assets for it .....

I would suggest you read all that you can in the wikis', practice poly modeling, watch tuts on youtube, and just log some hours with the software. I'm not sure you are at the point where you should be worrying about being able to put assets into a game engine yet. Lathe is nice and all but I would start by making..uhm,…
Hi Polycount! :) I have just modeled some butterflies and am trying to figure out the best way to transfer their basic animation loops into UDK. Would using bones be too overkill for a low-poly butterfly? Should I bake the animation into a vertex animation instead? What option would be the most processor-friendly? Thanks…
