Went back to school on my hand anatomy. Really probably should have paid more attention in the anatomy class instead of wanking off with cartoon characters. Oh well, better late than never.
That's quite amazing, Thermidor. I, for some reason, thought of Ghost in the Shell at first sight of your work. Using a cartoon type shader really (IMHO) brings this character to life... at least for me. Please continue!
Hey i love this character, maybe the legs as one user says up are a bit short. But if you want to maintain a cartoon look it's ok! Maybe he can wear sunglasses? Just an idea :P
hey guys I am currently sculpting cartoon female character similar to the paper planes short animation style to test if i can achieve this style and then more than likely make it game engine ready :)
Attachment not found. I'm working on a title screen for a game, and so I've created this so far. The picture is inspired by the justice league cartoons opening. It needs an epic feel, and so I'm hoping for some critique :poly121:.
I thought Zelda looked pretty strange with realistic environment textures and flat/cartoon shaded characters. It's well executed but I don't enjoy clashing styles :# The effects look great though.
Yeah that's a good thought. I'll ponder over that one. I chose that one because of it's symbolism and also it's err towards the cartoon style, but I can see it from your perspective too.
I've been told that most game engines don't support joint scaling. Maybe I am misinformed? No not really. I just want to be able to stretch out the limbs, cartoon-style! :)
JK: It explicitely says "no anime". Interestingly they list that separately from "no cartoon". It's not like I can't do realism though I couldn't do a semi-decent texture if my life depended on it.
Umm that link takes me to an episode of a show I saw on the Discovery Channel. But judging from your subject it sounds like one of the segments on Robot Chicken. It's a new show on Cartoon Network.
