Regarding the second option I could always format the crap interface away and install windows 7 if that windows touch stuff is actually competent. hmmph. yeah the tablet PC stuff with a decent size screen starts approaching the Cintiq 21 price anyway. Wacom needs more competition in this arena.
Is the rightclick/leftclick bug you're talking about where your finger accidentally goes retarded for a second on your wacom pen...causing zbrush to lock up? Not sure if that's what you're referring to, but that happens to be quite a bit. And yea, I'm actually kinda surprised people are still complaining about the UI.
Had a teeside interview few days back, the tutor said all the tutors for games have games industry experience except some of the illustration artists. I looked aroudn they're facilities and the whole place is very well equiped, wacoms at most work stations, games rooms, gyms etc.
Just about every thumbnail ever done for Dom War in which someone used Alchemy, turned into a leaf monster. Drove me nuts. "check out my big sacttered pile of crap, tait I creative!? I cans grip wacom pen wiff ass cheeks! SQUEEL!"
Okay so rending a demo reel on my old PC is taking a depressingly long time :( On the up side, I got PS CS3 and new wacom drivers... And my pen actually seems to work. 1hr or so including the time to adjust tablet. My attempt at something akin to champloo.
I see constant suggestions to upgrade to w11. Should I? Blender, Adobe and Autodesk soft work ok on it ? Wacom drivers? Just wonder. My previous experience tells never upgrade Windows till one year passed at least and I still regret I killed Windows 7 on my pc. The best OS I ever worked with.
So not sure about the other 2 things, but I currently have my color picker set to my wacom hotkey, I think typically the hotkey is I on the keyboard. I've never done the "hue\sat\value randomization per stroke" myself so don't know what you are referring to.
I feel like Modo/Maya have better support for Wacom/Pen Tablets due to the alt left mouse rotate being default. Tend to have issues with max and a tablet but could just be me. Been a Max user for years and can only fault its bloated releases since 2012.
Argh, these things are still soooo expensive, even if they plan to release a 2nd gen cintiq I can't afford the 1st gen ones :< I'm hoping courier or ipad 2.0 will have pressure sensitivity and some decent specs. If not, atleast they could help to push the price of new wacoms and cintiqs into my range.
@CompanionCube I'm on Windows 10 with an AMD R9 390, and an AMD FX 8350, so the Nvidia problems are ruled out for me. Power management I did actually try but had no success. I do use a Wacom, but I don't always have it plugged in. I'll give that an experiment tonight, thanks!
