In UDK I'm pretty sure you would handle it by material ID's. Set up the material ID's inside of your 3D app, and then apply the appropriate textures to them in the game engine.

I havent really used it in max, but MR AO has an 'include/exclude object id' setting, giving your floaters an ID and setting the shader to ignore them should fix the problem.
This mmo is pretty amazing looking. Im sorry to say but id rather throw my money at this than aion.. but id like to know more about the game before i commit heheh.
can only be installed on one machine? thats sucks... just wait until you have to provide finger print id, a retinal scan, and present 3 froms of id to install games

all the UVs are in channel 1, 0-1 UV space, but have different material IDs. i'll just put it into Unreal for now, would be nice in the future to have material IDs for Marmoset
