Hey all! Not long ago I launched my 1st UE4 Marketplace asset. It initially launched with basic ledge grabbing and jumping abilities, but now it has evolved to more of a Parkour system. I am currently converting a lot of the code to be more modular so it's much easier to integrate with any custom character or Project. 20%…
Hey guys, My dream is to create my own game with impressing environment which uses stylized/hand painted textures, cool animations and camera movement and a complex combat system. So I asked myself where should I start and I think the best is to learn modeling/sculpting and texturing first and later I can learn animation…
1:1 pixel crop (open image in new tab or save to see), 4 direction photometric stereo + 1 frontal lit photo. Shot on a Canon 7D (18 Mpix) with not so sharp Tamron Zoom lens. Your photogrammetry looks fine, albeit a bit noisy, and doesn't capture the subtle normal details that comes from photometric stereo even with only 4…
If you are or any one is getting any "brand name" versions. I usually watch repair techs & they have .02's to add to the internal workings of which cards(companies) are good in comparison to the others, 1 & 2 some helpful information for the longevity of your products & when to check/change "pads/paste", are also mentioned…

I am looking for people who can work at least 5 hours a week. Every team members will have freedom. For example, if you're a Programmer and interested to join the team, you can create…
I'd actually argue the opposite : the fact that you have (logical) concerns about the layout means that you are having the right mindset. Even the most automated 3d painting workflow isn't an argument for a layout to be unreadable. And assuming that every other people handling the asset will do so using a 3d painting…
Normal maps allow the artist 100% control over the lighting within geometry, which are far more powerful than bump maps which only allow the hinting of raised/lowered areas inside the face. This also allows vertices to be saved as some surfaces that would require a double vertex to create a hard edge can be lit by a normal…
Alec Moody - have you got any examples of vray dirt to show us, that would be great to see. yeah Nick, my settings are already on 0.0001 may be 1 more zero actually. I do get nice enough bakes from xnormal, but even mudbox seems to have a really nice clean looking bake, similar to the one I saw for vray leleuxart - don't…
drop an edit UV modifier on the mesh on channel 1, where your UVs are. Save out a copy of those UVs in case you fuck something up later. drop a new one on, switch it to channel 2. I find it helps to load up the UVs you saved out from channel 1 so all you have to do is re-arrange islands :) Re-unwrap it the way you want.…
Hardly, Its still 10000:1 or so in combat roles, that would fall into margin of error in a statistic Dice was really hard on the virtue signaling there, the entire thing they pulled was just poor and ridiculous. Mocking their fans on a large panel afterwards shows that they apparently didn't learn a thing from it either…
