On the brick wall asset consider adding some stray bricks to break up the broken part of the wall. It looks really smooth like something took a bite out of it rather than it fell or got smashed.
Uncharted 2 is perfect?! I see stretching, inconsistent pixel densities, the shading on the brick wall and the modeled bricks is different (and looks bad in places). Etc, etc. It does look really good, but nothing is perfect.
Its kinda weird because its like all the bricks in the floor moved to let a tree grow there. where are the bricks? I think it should be more like this. Other than that its coming out nicely, keep it up. :)
Hi, I love that photorealistic brick! Definately I will follow that thread. Is it real-time rendered? Quixel deliver own 3d engine adn these are shots from it? Have you made HP models of these bricks? How they are procedural?
the brick textures on the lighthouse should definitely have been tiling textures. if you go up close to it, the textures will be blurry. even if youre using a 4096. one or two different tiling brick textures and then use a decal for the lettering.
This is hella creepy! Great job so far :) I also preferred the tiled flooring. Perhaps having the wall bricks shaped like bricks like in that reference picture than squares may help break it up?
Thanks, yeah, I couldn't figure out if I wanted a brick texture on the wall or mud walls so it's kinda in between. I think I'm gonna change it to bricks though, thanks for reminding me BrodyB.:)
Thank you :D It's honestly thanks to all the wonderful critique and advice I've gotten from this thread (as well as a little bit of self-education) I think I can call this project officially done though! I adjusted the lighting and redid the fence to look a bit more natural and inline with all the other palm trees. I…
Hi guys, I'm trying to texture a brick arch and I get some bad distortions on my textures. Any clues on how to fix them? My aim is to have the bricks follow the shape of the arch nicely. I'm using Maya 2018. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
Looks cool. Though imo, the brickstone are too uniform and clean for a village located in the forest. There should be bricks with overgrown weeds, dirt and missing brick pieces. Also some props looks like its floating. Cheers and good luck !
