Big SciFi Swords with battle damage (Blender/ZBrush)
Hey everybody, I am still in the early stages of learning Blender and ZBrush, but I finished up these 3 models yesterday and would really appreciate feedback and constructive criticism. This would really help me to continue learning. -

I would think it would show some damage, being stuck in the sand. Look up references for "abandoned machine in the desert" and the like. Not all the damage is going to be in the materials, I imagine an arm like this would show battle damage? -

@Tits Yeah I've got a thumbrace for tendonitis and muscle strain which does help when I'm in the zone 'forgetting' to take breaks although that's on top of carpal tunnel in both wrists plus right forearm long term ligament / muscle strain possibly damage, a result of commuting to work via motorbike alongside… -
Regarding a MetalSteel Barrel Damaged look
Hello All, I'm currently working on my secret prop :-) but I could use some advice. Regarding a MetalSteel Barrel that would hit some Cliff/rock wall pretty hard :-) Would you expect some piece out of hit, is this technical possible or more bend like surfaces (its from steel) or would i need to make more hardedges… -
Failed Splash Damage Art Test
Thought I would post this here, since I was unsuccessful in my application. Congrats to whomever landed the job :) Mine wasn't passed due to how I put far more attention in the shape of the building and the brick building, as opposed to the ground level. That said, I don't think I did a bad job, as I had other constraints… -

Recovering damaged/corrupted video files.
I have a cheap-ass microSD card in my phone and have just found out I've probably lost a lot of footage I shot over the weekend. The separate files are there, they show up on the phone and computer, and they are suitable sizes, a few megs instead of the traditional few kilobytes of a corrupted file. But they don't play on… -
Does water damage your computer?
If you completed drenched your computer with water (its turned off) or submerged your laptop and then let it completely dry out before turning it back on, is there any reason why it wouldn't work?
