One thing too : Lets say I pick 'Maya style' on Blender startup. I do it for the navigation scheme, and not the shortcuts. That means that even if one picks a specific style, there should still be a way to customize hotkeys to ones liking...
some frequent updates here as soon as there is some progress or update would be nice, people like me but I think many others as well are always interested in other tools and technologies - more so if they are within a free nature like blender.
Rise from your grave! They've released a 3dsmax preset for Blender 2.66 and it works pretty well. The navigation is there, as is the sub object selection keys and WER for move/rotate/scale. Get it here: http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detail&aid=28452&group_id=9&atid=127
Pior, I think blender will automaticly convert the selection when going between vertes - edges - faces, but every mode is considered an uv-mode. It's also possible to have all the selection-modes activated at the same time, similar to how you can combine the translate-rotate-scale widgets if you wanted to.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll forwards the shortcuts. Just tested this and yes, it's possible to edit the shortcuts even after picking some other interaction preset.
