Look awesome, definitely agree that the left side of the image needs something.....maybe instead of the car being on the already pretty heavy right side, you have a parked fire truck on the left side parked in front of a fire house? Seeing a 1940's fire truck in your style would be awesome. You could have water running out…
Update! Textured up the fire escape and windows. I'm having alot of fun with this project! Going to probably move on to the next building before i start adding props to this building. Keeping with the broad strokes. Enjoy!
Excellent progress being made. The only things that I'd suggest tweaking imo is the strength of the normal map on the bricks. I feel they protrude slightly too much. There is some stretching of rivets on the upper bar of the fire escape.
Some progress. Adjusted the fence alittle bit as per critique by a buddy as well as made the fire hydrant and a couple signs. Kind of getting tired of making building pieces so just to keep it fun i'll probably make a couple more props and then back to the building pieces. The fire hydrant looks huge but that's just…
Weekend progress. Just baked down the assets for the fire escape and windows, texturing now. Going to try to fit the sign in this weekend too Trying to think of a clever name for the ale house but im awful at being clever haha.
Putting together a scene for the ol' portfolio. I realized that when Fall of Cybertron releases I'm going to have a ton of sci fi work in my portfolio. Although i love sci fi more than life itself, I need some variation. So to avoid that I'm going to do this scene. I had done a scene like this in college but it was…
I was really liking this scene- but some recent additions I think have taken it down a bad path. (bad might be too strong of a word, but I`m keeping with it for dramatic effect) :P I understand that your going for a heavy feeling of it being lived in, thus all the clothes lines, and trash- but I feel like the building…
I actually agree with konstruct on a few of the points he made. The clothes are making the already fairly busy building facades too noisy without leaving much area for your eyes to rest on them. The buildings are already made fairly complex with the fire escapes and the shadows they cast, the clothes just make things too…
