How do I get a showcase banner?
Just wondering how I get my image up in the showcase banner, what are the rules of submission who decides whether the piece is worthy or not? -

Aha /facepalm! I guess I just immediately think it's a normal mapped asset whenever I see a wireframe over something. I was thinking 'how the hell did he get that mesh to look so high res'! -

I think the biggest thing is someone remembering to yell 'Banner! Banner!' in a thread when someone posts work. Lots of banner quality work comes and goes, we just forget to kick up enough fuss about it! -

Earn it. That's what the others did. No idea how it's chosen, maybe a blood letting ritual or as I like to imagine Adam writes our names on post-it notes and rolls naked over them, the one closest to his man bits is the winner. I agree with r_fletch_r, no point having a submission thread either, would be more headaches… -

nah im sure the person managaging the art banner is having an eye for polycount. I dont think there is a need for such a thread. -

One of the things I was wondering is if the criteria states you have to make the entire image yourself or if there were other artists involved would it still eligible? Can it be from a game or does it have to be a personal work. Also can it be a hi res render, or does it have to be game res? I'm surprised there's not more…
