How do I get a showcase banner?

Just wondering how I get my image up in the showcase banner, what are the rules of submission who decides whether the piece is worthy or not?

sillyness aside i think its just a case of posting a great WIP/Final thread.
Earn it. That's what the others did.
No idea how it's chosen, maybe a blood letting ritual or as I like to imagine Adam writes our names on post-it notes and rolls naked over them, the one closest to his man bits is the winner.
I agree with r_fletch_r, no point having a submission thread either, would be more headaches than any benefit.
All I'm aware of are some loose guidelines... it should be either some amazing art that shows style/execution/design that people can learn from, or it should be a regular poster who has shown vast improvement over time, or else it should be a hot topic that's art-related (like a Dominance War).
But as with most volunteer work I think it just comes down to an editor's time and personal interest. I for one haven't posted a news item in ages, too many other things are taking my focus and interest these days. The wiki is a fav of mine, so I put my extra time there. Other editors put it into the news, or into the forums, or into backend tasks (that aren't so visible, but still very essential).
I think it wouldn't hurt to post some links to extraordinary posts you come across, including stuff you've done yourself, whatever you think rocks really hard...

Aha /facepalm! I guess I just immediately think it's a normal mapped asset whenever I see a wireframe over something. I was thinking 'how the hell did he get that mesh to look so high res'!
And not to get off topic here but thanks a lot Eric for putting so much effort into the wiki, the normal map section alone is invaluable to junior and senior modelers and helped me out quite a bit in the last couple months.
