It doesn't work like I need it to. The only way that it kind of works, is if I have Select -> Face -> By Vertex checked, then I can select a vertex and it will select ALL the adjoining faces. Viewpoint selection only works with face-by-vertex. You have two options, deselect the faces you didn't want to select or switch to a better app. What do you need Milkshape for?
That still doesn't get by the problem that if I want to select a face on an angle in the 2d windows, it's almost impossible. The only way is to select it in the 3d viewport, but I still can't select what I want, which is a single face. MilkShape sucks for this.
I need milkshape because it is the only program that has an exporter to cmp files for freelancer. Otherwise as you can see, I'd love to use max or maya even. How do you deselect the faces that you don't want as I've tried that too.
