It doesn't work like I need it to.
The only way that it kind of works, is if I have Select -> Face -> By Vertex checked, then I can select a vertex and it will select ALL the adjoining faces. I need to select individual faces just like in the other viewports. Here is a pic of me selecting a vertex to get a face:
As you can see, selecting a vertex gives me multiple faces.
This is what I need (this is in 3DSMAX7):
As you can see, I just click on a face and it is selected. Is there a way to do this in MilkShape?? I can use Select -> Face, but then nothing happens when alt + mouseclicking on the perspective viewport.
Thanks for your help.

Otherwise as you can see, I'd love to use max or maya even.
How do you deselect the faces that you don't want as I've tried that too.
and use Milkshape just for the file conversion (export to .obj or something like that in Wings3d, import it into Milkshape, and export from there to .cmp)
Edit: has been ages since I used Milkshape, but I think you have to press ctrl, alt or shift while 'selecting' a tri to deselect it.
MilkShape sucks for this.
How can I get them to export with the model?? I exported the model as an Obj, and 3DS, and when I open it in milkshape or max7, the groups aren't there.
For example:
If I select all those I can then go to the menu(In Wings3D), SELECT -> New Group..., and create a new group just like in milkshape.
I can then select those groups by going to SELECT -> Select Group -> ... and pick one of the groups I created.
Now when I export, the groups are either not exporting with it, or milkshape and max7 aren't importing them.
Do you guys have any experience with this program??
