If someone's concerned they should read the code and see what it does. There's nothing stopping a script from stealing all your data and opening your network up to the entire internet if your IT policies are shit but equally there are much more effective ways of sneaking malware into an organisation than in a human… -

They are relative save to use. The issues are coming mainly from infected maya files. We here use the security tools to check files. https://apps.autodesk.com/MAYA/en/Detail/Index?id=8637238041954239715&appLang=en&os=Linux There is an integrated version in the works for the next maya update.
