Hi guys, I am trying to bake a normal map and I am getting the following two errors: 1. I though this usually gets caused due to low padding but mine is set to 10 pixels which should be plenty 2. I though this usually get caused due to intersecting cage but mine isn't intersecting. Any ideas how i can fix this? thanks in…
Also make sure you have your high poly, or whatever you want to bake in your source meshes list in the transfer maps dialog, because if it is blank Maya will bake any other meshes that may be hidden etc...
Just for grins... Move the control vertices of your top of that piece so they don't overhang the lower. Just a guess but what if when it attempts to bake the normals, it's casting a shadow from that piece. From what I read Sharp angles (90 degree's inwards are bad for baking).
