Ola! I've read this 15 times now, It's a little lengthy but it's so full of win. I was having troubles with time-management, proofing and construction stages of environment design and this has helped a lot. I highly recommend this to any and all of you fellow environment artists to check this out! Slide presentation from…
Hey everybody, This is a little project I've been cooking up during my off hours. Guys like Polygoo and Lonewolf are big inspirations of mine, and I wanted to try my hand at another gun. This one is a Saiga shotgun, sort of a mish mash of several references. Saw this thing on Sons of Guns and immediately wanted to build…
http://www.starwarsuncut.com/empire Hey guys, just discovered this neat project today. Basically they've divided the film into 15-second chunks, and are getting people to recreate each scene. It's pretty neat and would be fun to do one! New Hope is finished: [ame="…
heh, MOP, you anwsered while I was posting this last response. I can't keep up with you guys. :) The bake has a lot of detailed high poly stuff, and just to render it takes a while (over 15 minutes). where the edits on the maps as slum suggested would take a couple of minutes. The edits I want to make are very minor.
Hey Thanks Renderhjs for the plugin, works pretty sweet, saves alot of time and headaches lol. I myself have now run into the problem of having multiple pieces (Like Peris) in my high poly F-15 I'm working on so any work around that are found I'm always interested in. Once again thanks everyone this really has helped!
It's hard to imagine how John Carmack could be more awesome. He's living the dream, is totally into the job, goes to massive lengths to share technology, and support it. heres the whole keynote. http://quakecon.quake-live.tv/2009/08/15/john-carmack-keynote/ Carmac actually mentions the download limit of major networks.…
I'm running a Palit 560 ti 2gb and I have no problems in max, any version runs fine. I will say that in max 2014 I have noticed a big performance boost compared to 2012 which I use most of the time. I can get 15-20 mil polygons in the scene without to much sweat (if I have to that is)
I used to play Eve, and come back to it every once and a while but reading about it is more fun than playing it. Unless you love spinning around your ship in station for hours on end waiting for pvp to happen. This BoB thing is pretty amazing and a real focal shift for power blocks of the game. Considered resubbing just to…
Its been 10 years since quake 3... the last game of theirs I really loved. I hope this means they'll have time to get back to making fun games. Not that Rage won't be awesome and not just another engine demo(?). PS. I spent like 15 years playing an id game every day. I miss em.
15 minutes prior to 8:00PM Eastern Time, I'll reply to this thread saying that I'm about to start. I want to try and avoid messaging individuals (Like Skype friends, or Steam friends), but instead utilize social networking like forums and twitter/facebook for my announcements for when I'll be streaming. I hope everyones…
