You can get this with a post process. Dave Prout goes over this here: http://www.daveprout.com/hack-this/2010/1/18/material-post-effects-lab-distance-color-blending.html
Good thinking Eric. Having a look at the wiki for the first time, wish I had seen it before. I go with #1 for the most part but I never rig anything so.....
wierd, I dont get problems if I export with UV for mirrored areas offset by 1 unit, and making sure to export tangents in the fbx. Good trick if you need it though! :)
+1 to the radiohead song! :D I think these are awesome... I agree with Haikai, I love the first model, I bet the warrior model could hold it's own with a little tweaking.
You can always do competition. Most competition that are hold usually have 1 Zbrush license or a copy of the program. Only downside is that you're going up against millions of others.
THANK-YOU! I bought the strategy guide for Gears 1 soley for the art book (didn't even have a 360 at the time). the art that goes into these games is just, well it's Epic alright :)
New level of trolling by valve, 30 min after they sell out I suddenly have 1 item in my cart that wasn't there before, click on it and a ticket is there, click checkout and error <_<.
regarding your texture progress.... 1. do you polypaint? 2. do you texture and bake from a 3d model, or use the canvas in zbrush and export different map passes?
