I agree with Jessica on every point she made. To add to that, The Steve Z guy and the hipster character both do not look near the same quality of your other characters. I would definitely get ride of the hipster character, and possibly rework the Steve Z guy as the images you have below the first one there look much better…
Ok never mind, my teacher didn't show up for class, so I didn't get to ask him any questions about Maya. I'm trying to learn Maya so that I can be a more rounded modeler once I get out of school. So if anyone would like comment on my questions that would be great, otherwise hopefully my teacher will be in class next week!…
Thanks to everyone who applied—really appreciated the portfolios. The role is now filled. Project Indie mobile game (solo developer), fixed-price contract; modeling +
texturing only (no rig). I’m developing a mobile puzzle game in Unity 2022.3 LTS (URP). I need a stylized-but-believable
marmot character (red with blue…
Hello fellow polycounters, i wanted to ask you some questions, because i'm really interested in cinematics and movies more than video games, although i love video games and modding. The questions are: What's the difference between a game model and a cinematic model? What are the steps to make a cinematic model? I know for…
Hello Polycount, just joined in to ask a question. I'm playing around in doing a 2D ISO engine, and for some clever effects and game logic, I would need to know the "height" of each pixel in my rendered bitmaps. The height would just be the z coordinate it represents in the real model. I've been trying out the Bake To…
Someone told me I need something more than just weapons in my portfolio. Well I'm going to remedy that :) A while back I was working on a level in UT2004 called dm_metro. Unfortunately I never got to finish it but I did enjoy making a subway environment a lot. This is a big bad on my part but I just downloaded the latest…
So! I've run into a bit of a problem on a scene I'm working on here. Quite a biggie tbh. It seems to have started when I upgraded to the latest version of UDK. It would seem as if all my 2-sided materials suddenly started to flicker. With these dark and bright squared popping up and disappearing again over a frame or two.…
I bought Marmoset back in 2010 (If I remember correctly), so I've been a long-time user... I guess... I've generally found pretty much every-and-anything put into previous updates useful. It's difficult for me to think of specific features that I've found particularly useful. The only things I'd like to see in future…
No it works on vertices. But like I mentioned, converting selections in Maya is easy. You have a foldout menu for this under Modify. Or just ctrl+f9/f10/f11/f12. Actually I think the script does produce some result if you were to run it with faces selected. I managed to do this myself by mistake and oddly enough it…
