Hi, it's a good start, but i don't understand your rocks passe ; however great materials for your moss ! Have you many rocks/mossy rock reference ? You can separate your material, 1 graph for your mossy, 1 for your rock, and 1 to combine all materials.
Hey guys. My 15 year old, self taught ass has managed to get into another indie game team venture. For the, er, 4th time. Hopefully I'll be able to rock my socks off with modelling in this one. It's a COD WaW mod team who makes pretty sucsesfull maps. I came up with this idea of a heavy machine gun. I'm not really a gun…
“Mountain Station: Journey Through the Peaks” is a cinematic environment inspired by remote high-altitude transit hubs. Built with a focus on realistic lighting, atmospheric depth, and detailed world-building, this scene captures the quiet mood of a mountain station surrounded by mist, cliffs, and cold air. The project was…
Hi everyone and a happy new year. I've decided to spare my time on a new environment. It still a early wip but i am about 30% of progress. Subject: "Le chemin des nuages" (The cloud's path). A semi-desert place with few oases on the tops of high cliffs. Despite the difficulties of access some peoples chose to build their…
Just finished this one. Still think its a little on the glossy side. I wonder if anyone had some critiques on this :D . I've also put up the volcanic rock, and sharp rock Substance up for download. Sharp Rocks Substance Volcanic Rock
oh man, not a productive week. Did some rock sketches. I have such a hard time with rocks. I really like to keep things clean and sharp when painting, and it makes rocks look too perfect like they came from a rock factory. Have to loosen up a bit and get more random!
My biggest concern with this is the harsh under shadow that surrounds each rock piece... it comes off very graphics cartoon like (unless that's the style you're aiming for then ignore this)... if you aren't then I'd tone down the black outline because comparing it to the harsh highlights that you have on the rock tiles it…
I have a bunch of the same mesh in my level, a giant rock basically. Ive duplicated this same rock around my level and each of the copies of this rock has the same material on it thats setup for vertex painting with a few different textures. If I vertex paint each one of these rocks separately, does that count as a draw…
Hi there =) . New update. I've worked on a better sculpt for my two rocks and the big rock around the gate. I've also make a basic texture for my rocks. It's pretty rough for the moment but I will do a better one soon. The next update will show the new roof. And perhaps the new/definitive rock texture ! Cheers !
You can customize your hotkeys in CS2 anyway, and can import your settings from previous PS versions so your settings stay consistant throughout each version. Layer groups, and groups within groups rocks my socks. I usually run up to around 30-35 layers on a 512x512 texture and never notice any sort of sluggishness…
