there is a lot to unpack there, some good points for sure. I also know of a studio in town where the running joke is that you have to leave and come back to get a decent raise haha. "I have a colleague in QA at Ubisoft toronto, and while his job is model checking (art pass) there are ways internally to move into art…
Sure mate, I will change it for the posing... will try to keep it with less then 10k triangles total, and make a better posing, change the position of the legs for a more action one, try to tweak a bit the thorso, and change a bit here and there... Soon i will post update here. Thank you for the advice, JRancourt!
-Gotcha. I'll post some more shots as soon as I get a chance. You're right about the unwrap distortion with the grip on the slide. It has a super slight curve to it at the bottom. It was a lot worse when I originally baked the normal map, I wound up correcting most of the distortion in photoshop but there's still a bit…

Is there a way in ZBrush to temporarily move a group of meshes (or folders) in their position and orientation? The meshes are part of a character and are positioned and rotated to fit exactly. However, their orientation is not ideal for modeling and editing. It would be great if the orientation and position could be reset…
Going to do the art test posted by Stoic Games for one of their artist positions. Going to do a game scene of Dalalond, which reads mostly as a Mongola Great Plains / American Great Plains location if most of the game takes palce in a snowy, frozen, Norway like north. [Warning, file is huge.] == Current Update == Final…
A little bird told me that we may finally have a fully-functioning wiki here after a little while. I think it'd be awesome to have a central resource for all those recurring answers, and it'd be a great place to learn a thing or two. I'd prefer MediaWiki rather than some of the other setups, if something hasn't been…
