Hi Guys, we are searching for some professional 3D Artists and Coder (C# and/or Java). 1st: Apologies for the bad english (we're from austria) :) Details: Style: simplistic toonish We originally wrote a Toonish Fantasy RPG Storyboard, and now we visualize this with Unity3D Game Engine. Hey everyone, I noticed that a lot of (paid?) nodes that used to be available on old substance share and get mentioned in articles about Designer or shipped as dependencies with .sbs files are rather hard to find nowadays. Some of them migrated to artstation and gumroad - but a few of them I am still unable to track down.…
So I am doing some rigging in 3ds max 2017 and I'm noticing a particularly annoying occurrence. When using the Bone Tools rollout menu from the Animation panel I can go along working just fine. After a while however I notice that the "Bone Edit Mode" button becomes grayed out and unclickable. Closing and opening the…
Ok, so after GDC I decided it was time to get my shit together and get a page up so I could, you know, get a job, and not have to bow my head in shame every time I met someone. I figured August was a good deadline. My desktop now has these little colonies of files growing in various places. None of which look like a web…
So with vertex normals, when you try to shade a simple cone, you have to use a lot of geometry or a normal map. Because if you try to use just 1 vertex on top, the back side will not shade correctly. And if you use quads with a flat cylinder top, you get these hard smoothing edges from the tris. I know the simplest…
Hi everyone, First, thanks for this forum. I'm fairly new and shy, and it seems like a great place for 3D, lots of cool projects :) I'd like some feedback on my latest project. My first idea was to experiment with PCG (Procedural Content Generation) and possibly turn it into a full scene. This is where I've ended up so…
I went looking for the forums recently, as now UT2004 got re-released , I couldn't find any other way to do some playermodels than Milkshape. I think I bought it twice over the years as I kept forgetting the code / losing the email I regged on. Must've been 2002/2004 I last used it. Would be cool to see the project picked…
I'm thrilled to hear that my method worked out great for you. Would you be willing to provide me with a small cutout of the model that contains pores and whatnot in order for me to test out the baking options myself and see what works and what doesn't? Unfortunatelly the only thing I was able to come up with is a geometry…
cmon dude, shaderfx is nodebasex, just screw around with the nodes until a descent result comes out, everyone could do that you dont even have to understand linear algebra (if youre not using the custim code node) http://www.lumonix.biz/shaderfx.html download, install, just do it !
