gimbal mode when pressing insert key in maya
I get gimbal mode when i press insert key to move my joints(please check the attachment for the issue), i have tried deleting the maya preferences folder changing the options of move tool still the issue is present, using maya 2015 and windows 8.1. Need little help . -

My insert brush is rotated awkwardly. I pressed on unify and made sure it was aligning to the floor grid before creating it. What else could I be doing wrong? -

I've never used insert meshes before, and trying them out on a curve definitely beats modeling and positioning each piece individually.
