Hey! Nice start. I am liking the textures but the model seems too basic compared to the textures. One thing about the viking longhouses is that some had dirt and grass growing on the roof. Maybe having some mounds of grass and dirt on top could help break up the model and put some more interesting colors into the model.…

I really like that idea of using the freeform brushes on hair & fur guides to drive normals, but I'm probably the least skilled scripter here. It's a tool I use a lot to edit organic models like hairstyles, and my interest in being able to freely edit normals goes first into this kind of assets, not sure how relevant it…
Hello guys, i'm working on that personal project, trying to improve the hardsurface techniques. I`m really open to critiques and ideas, that will be awesome :D ( For the weapons too ) Also tips about retopology, because i`m suffering with how much subtools can one Hard surface character have hehehe Its my first try of hard…
This viking looks awesome. In my opinion, a more messy look sell the character better. Try adding some hair to the pectorals and abs, make the eyebrows thicker and add long curly locks around the neck area. Don't turn him into a caveman but he's stealing my spot on the cover of men's health magazine and it's upsetting lol.…
NVIDIA has a new version of their GPU vidcap software, with their Geforce Game Ready Driver. Except... the videos are captured at 20GBPS instead of 20mbps! So here's what a vidcap looks like with a driving game (Watch Dogs 2) Kind of interesting, in it's own way, if you like that sort of thing lol
Thanks :) I kinda wanted to mix a bit of barbarian in there but still keep him "viking like". But i dont have a clear concept to work of cause i cant draw for shit so i'm making it up as i go along :p Btw can you bake fibermesh onto a lowpoly model ?
Hi! Nice updates! Thanks for reminding me of the challenge  @BillyJackman I like personality it got, with the frame looks like it has a grin. If you intended to work on this some more, I think some dynamism/ folds in the hanging scroll would enhance it more. And perhaps some more material definition, so it…
Hi, my first post here. I was trying to create something that will look somewhat stylized (especially wooden parts) but highly PBR oriented More of it at my ArtStation model Since I have not idea how to texutre paint (but will look forward to learning it) I left it to simple procedural texturing using Substance Painter and…
Hi there everybody, I'd like to post a character I have been working on for a while now. I would very, very much like to get as many thoughts and critique as I can from all of you who are more skilled and experienced. I have come to a point where I simply need to suck it up and ask for help and critiques. I have to realize…
