my 2 cents....it's capitalism at it's worst, but unfortunately it happens, I'm not a huge sports fan, but I feel that though legal, it is an "unfair" business practice, though Sega could have done the same....but they didn't (probably didnt have the cash) Sega is a survivor, they'll find a way to continue doing what they…
Here is how I normally save files, <scene-name>1a <scene-name>1b <scene-name>1c <scene-name>1d and so forth, then I also archive the scene every now and then, and continue on until I'm done, so that sometimes, I'm already up to 5a, 5b, etc.
There's nothing wrong with showing early works in progress. What better way to receive feedback on the fly, and to improve your design process than to post up things while you work on them? I reckon you continue to post work as you work on it, if you're interested in the community's feedback as you work.
What I'd like to see is being able to proper import uv maps. I'd if you are painting a uv island, as your brush goes over the edge the painting continues on the appropriate island, giving a seamless transition. Perhaps in actual practice it would be pretty shite, but I think the idea is nice at least.
I'm sure by now, you are tired of me "trolling" around these forums. I have caused a lot of trouble here, and I am here to make up for my immaturity . Out of all my pathetic attempts at creating something "worthy," I learned that I don't have what it takes to be anything of use for 3D Modeling or graphic arts. However, I…
I see and read about more and more young people with a reasonable amount of talent falling in front of the same old hurdles that many great minds have over come in the PAST. Time and time again I read posts on different sites telling the same story and the responses are mostly the same: you have to focus more and work…

I doubt any tutorials are going to teach much of anything beyond your current skills. I'd think that if you just kept working on portfolio pieces like that diorama - scoped such that you can finish them in reasonable time without making your life miserable - that would be a better use of time. I mean, always good to…
Very nice study. You're hitting feature landmarks; ie. eyes are an eyes width apart, center of pupils align with corners of mouth, bottom of nose align with base of ear lobes, ect. With continued practice you'll get better, facial structure and features are pretty flexable, obviously real life humans are much more varied…
So I saw this piece by Valentina Remenar and immediately started making it in Blender, then I've come to a point where I know it's missing somethings and I wasn't sure how I should continue. Left it alone, came back and still kind of stumped and contemplating just calling it finished. Any thoughts are appreciated. Original…
