Hah awesome, I'll be sure to keep an eye on this. Really nice dinos & anims, if a little close to the JP ones. Great looking concepts trailer as well, on the art side this looks quite ambitious for an indie game.. what platform are you making this for, and is there going to be single player?
You can check out the weekly UDK and Game development related questions here. www.facebook.com/UDKLU Would you like a Shooter game based on Dino's, like Turok or others that pulled it off well? There will be Weekly questions pertaining to our game development, ULU, and UDK as well. Let us know what you think.
I really like the overall shape, freakin cool idea, not a bad sculpt either. I really like that you didn't rush to sub-d and spam-stamp dino scales all over it. Crits: - Flippers look to be made out of bone - The arm issue Ely brings up is valid and looks weird. I think the arms need more whale reference then human. Keep…
I'll be onest. It looks like a very weak portfolio.A zbrush screenshot with a head, a head on a street o0 and a dino in what i believe is the udk enviroment . I also didn't see a car on your portfolio. Some display of anatomy as a character modeller i'd see it a must, not just a head...
Hi, don't know why I've avoided posting here for so long. Probably fear of the brutal feedback. I wouldn't mind some now though. Anyway I drew something new to model, it's a dino, toad, cyborg, robot thing. Gonna add more detail in the model just didn't feel like drawing it all.
hello. i believe you should add more muscle to his legs, and the "heel" should be reduced, like the dino bones you have and the concept art on the left. also his palms should be enlarged and with long fingers, to make him look more dangerous. keep it up mate!
Not really sold on it, for a little more you can a lot more, in either Mudbox or ZBrush. The Re-Topo tools are interesting but I already have ways of handling that efficiently. It suffers from some of the same ui issues Zbrush does. If I was going to have a bear of a time learning one or the other I'd have to pick the…
Good start on the dino there! I think you've got a disconnect between the dino itself and the spikes on the tail and the fins on his back. They don't look like they're protruding from him so much as they're just tacked on. I'd support them with geometry and texture. I'd also cut down a lot on the edge wear out on the…
I like the website layout, clear and good access. It clearly says you are a character modeler so I would leave out environment work, especially as it's not as strong as your character work. your 'drawings' gallery has Dino Dave from your characters section next to an 'under construction' sign. Should that be there?
$129 ??? Wuuuttttt. Only painters I can see who'll truly benefit from infinite canvas that won't choke your rig are dino mural digital artists. If it's easy to shell out cash at that price maybe one can easily afford a kick ass 3d painter like Mari for just a bit more.
