regarding the 3d..I thought the trailer was quite funny.. I wonder if it was intentionally ironic? they show a cute bunny in 3d hopping around, then squash it and say 'the new simpsons movie.. in 2d!' then straight afterwards they show homer speeding along in a 3d demolition vehicle
Mime: yeah, I think the light issue was discussed a page or two ago in this thread. Basically, its 3ds max fault, and it has been fixed in 3ds max 2011. Which is great, because that really bugged me as well with 3ds max 2010.
I guess I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "3d" painting. Mari gives you plenty of masking options in 3d. The projection system is very robust. I'm not sure what benefit you gain by having a 3d painting system in mari.
hm..i might be stupid or something, but is there any way to increase the cage ray distance ? like the option on 3ds max i get some raymiss in xnormal, but in 3ds max if i increase the cage it fixes it , but 3ds max crashes with the most detailed object
I'm currently working for Activision...as localization tester. ;) It's actually nice enough, playing games for a living, and localization testing is (imo) better then normal QA testing. And it's nice to take a break from thinking work-3D/portfolio-3D and just doing fun-3D. :)
