I've been eying a Surface Pro 3 as a tablet/coding on the go device. Think its IPS panel. Its a 12 inch and can be put with an i7 and max storage of about 512 though quite pricy.

hey im not to sure what u mean by a grid system. Anyway u could explain that? also these arent actual sizes. the appl is 128 i think and wall is 512. Just was getting them on one page.
I call it a WIP still because i am texturing the backside of the shield as well with functional leather straps to hold onto to your harm. 512 tris including the skull, Normal/Diffuse/Spec map. sorry for the larger images, not sure if there is a way to add thumbnails.
Matters to me. If prices are the same I'd still pick the higher level one. If you do lots of thick and thin line drawings and color blending, it's a big difference in my opinion. But for casual hobbyists, yeah just stick with 512 or less.
I could be wrong but I think you have some mip mapping going on there, the texture looks to blurred for what I believe is not 512. Maybe check your viewport settings and the texture memory setting. Like in Max these settings matter:
4096x4096 is way overkill for this. There goes the texture budget for the whole level. Vehicles nowadays use 1024x (or a couple 512 sets) since you'd be using three of them... diffuse, spec, normal. Modular approach will save you tons of texture space.
Would TF2 run on a 1ghz/512 ram/gf FX 5400 ??? Hahaha I won't even bother downloading if I can't. I want to play at home, but man, I REALLY don't want to spend money on a new PC.
Hey everyone, I just finished my knife. First fully finished PBR render!!! I tried to keep it very low poly, but still detailed. I'm very happy how it turned out, but I want everyone's thoughts. 472 Tris 512 texture
