So you rendered in Toolbag or Max? In toolbag you maybe need to increase the specularity intensity and sharpness to get the result you want. The same in Max! With your spec-/glossmap you only affect the setted spec-values. So maybe you could never get as glossy as you want, if these values are not very intense!
EQ, thanks for the fast response! I have tried to cobble together something that vaguely resembles the reference, but it gets shown as a solid white object in the viewer... Also, even if this would work in the viewer, is there an option to make the refraction less pixelated? TOOLBAG VIEWPORT: VIEWER RESULT: The refraction…
I am noticing that textured appear way less rough in UE4 than in Marmoset Toolbag 2. I spent a lot of time adjusting my textures using Marmoset Toolbag to have right amount of roughness. But then they appear way more glossy and less rough in UE4. Strangely though, 3D Coat appears to show approximately same level of…
If you bake in Toolbag 3, you can fix skewing with the skew paint tool, just paint where you have floaters or skewed detailed to correct the problem. No need to edit normals, bake and mask multiple maps or anything like that. https://player.vimeo.com/video/190166224? More info…
Rurouni Strife, As willy-wilson pointed out, the wip images thus far are all just simple screen grabs from Maya. Later, I plan to use Marmoset Toolbag (or something similar) and Maya Mental Ray for final renders. EDIT: All screen grabs are now Marmoset Toolbag, minus the ZBrush hires sculpt ones.
I'm trying to load 2 models (high/low poly) for baking in Marmoset toolbag. But when I load models using "quick loader" the baking groups are missing. This is leaving me unable to bake textures maps. The loaded models are not appearing in the viewport as well. My low poly model is triangulated. My high poly model is quad.…
@Udjani Make sure the tangent space in Toolbag (in mesh properties), is set to the same as your baker. Or just bake in Toolbag, as it will bake with the tangent space that your mesh is set to. Mikkt is generally best if you don't know which t-space to use, as that is what Unreal and Unity use these days. Also, make sure…
Hey guys, i've recently finished modeling and texturing this Aimpoint PRO. I did all the modeling and UVing in Blender, took the highpoly to Zbrush for polishing and baked the maps using Marmoset Toolbag 4 to use in Substance Painter. Renders were also done in Toolbag 4. How do you like the result? You can find all…
Hello. I'm trying to create some renders of a product in marmoset toolbag 3 and my problem is that what I see in my viewport is slightly different from my rendered image file. Mainly the flare camera effect is missing. Here is the comparison between the viewport and the rendered image: print screen from my viewport: the…
Hi, I recently got Toolbag and while I try to touch every slider I can, to test it out, I noticed that the whole interface really slows down. It even lags at highlighting the options under the cursor. Is it normal behaviour? I've heard Toolbag is pretty light. I run it on AMD Ryzen 7 1800 X 32 GB Ram GeForce GTX 1070Ti win…
