on top of what rockstar said i would change the color of the gold to a dark yellow brown and then use a yellow white as the spec color. I'd show you waht i'm talking about but thats all stuff at work. Just look for how to make gold with shaders and youl find the colors i'm talking about. Also dont feel bad using a envmap… -
