i got it all on hd still back from when it was on planetquake but i never really used all the pics of guns guns guns and guns. and such .... heh some anatomy (boobiepictures) in there might help a few but i recommend to get a good book
I think you just have to make his neck a bit shorter together with the deltoids. Also make the head a bit smaller as well, he looks short right now. Other than that the anatomy is ok as far as I can see.
You don't need full definition but its smart to spend some time on the base and make sure the proportions are correct and make sense. Too often people rush into armor/clothing etc and end up really falling short on the anatomy of the figure.
Wow... now that's a great sculpt already, and you're still going to be adding more. One thing I'd suggest is to add a tear or something to the edge of the boots so they don't look so symmetrical. You definitely know your way around anatomy.
Alright, it's time to learn fundamentals by studdying anatomy and doing quick gesture drawings, so here are my first 1min (exept for the guy holding a katana) gesture drawings i have done (I can see that I have to practice ... a lot ^^)
What's on his shin? The calf muscle looks like it bulges out too quickly also. What he means by the small of the back is the spot between the butt and that muscle that is across the mid back (I'm no character artist so I'm horrible with anatomy).
Here is an update. I decided to add some girth to his thighs like shinobix mentioned, and also focused on the anatomy a little more, paying attention to the insertion points from his torso to the arm. Hoping for more helpful crits :) thanks for looking.
i wasnt happy with the wrinkles, so i started over today. I also noticed a serious lack of anatomy in the sculpture, so i fixed that (i hope) this is my current WIP of the wrinkles (ive only started the back so far)
You should do some modeling studies of the eyes, mouth and nose. Then practice stitching them all together. Having edgeloops is one thing, but understanding the anatomy of the head is also a big factor. These might be helpful too... http://www.veoh.com/watch/v4199970Rcyp2cfj
thanks Japhir, i did as you suggested! psyk0, what you're saying is to bring the top part up a bit more forward, closer to the jaw line? i'm having problems finding the anatomy book i usually refer to! thanks! -J
