Ello guys So we are doing this project at Hertfordshire University called Narasimha. Now its been changed to King of Demons and I thought its time to share some work that I did before its too late. You might have seen a similar thread laying around somewhere created by Dee, but I was not able to find it. I am mainly…
What I mean is keep those rings in the camera in the highpoly but bake them to a single big fat ring in the lowpoly so you keep all the verts around the outer and inner edge but you dont have any of the extra rings inside that shape, know what I mean?
CHARLES BLOND: Looks nice, I like the setting and range of assets you made! Overall I feel like the images are a bit dark, and contrasty.. it's weird because on your artstation they look a bit better somehow! The chimney could use some work, compared to the rest of the house it's a bit blunt I think. I also would try and…
You might want to differentiate the materials a bit more, giving the metal more of a chrome or brushed metal look, and making the shell more plastic, possibly adding scuffs or dings on the plastic. another method that works if the edge rings are of equal width is to ctrl + middle mouse on add edge loop to bisect the edge rings 50%, then bevel components on this new loop to pinch/slide them as needed. though with non uniform width edge ring this will give poor results because the pinch is % based.
